The European Nuclear Safety Regulators Group (ENSREG) is a high-level group created in 2007 by the European Commission.
ENSREG's central mission, as a high-level advisory group to the European Commission, is to advise and assist the Commission, either on its own initiative or at the request of the Commission, in progressively developing a common understanding that provides a basis for continuously improving the level of nuclear safety in the fields of nuclear installations, and the safety of the management of spent fuel and radioactive waste, while maintaining full openness and transparency to the public and key stakeholders.
